Meet Dawn

I began my career as an academic advisor. Over the last twenty years, I’ve worked with students to realize their academic, professional, and personal goals. I’ve also led teams, taught courses, developed curricula, and navigated the ever changing landscape that is higher ed administration.

The broader my portfolio became, the more I realized that my best work–not to mention deepest satisfaction–came when I was working directly with students. That included coaching them to develop and pursue professional and personal goals, supporting those in crisis, and helping those working their way back from academic failure. At the same time, I found myself serving as the cheerleader, the gentle nudge, and the occasional source of tough love for friends and colleagues navigating personal, relationship, and career shifts. I also pursued my own creative passion for writing. I spent the last decade honing my craft and developing a writing practice that has resulted in fifteen (and counting!) published novels, along with several novellas, short stories, and personal essays.

Through all of this, I began to see recurring themes: the power of listening and curiosity, the willingness to ask questions, and the ability to find connections that empowered others to live authentically, pursue creativity, and cultivate joy. This is what guides and drives me–as a writer, as a coach, as a human. It is the experience and passion I bring to each and every client I have the privilege to work with.

If you’re ready to embark on your own quest for those things, I would love to be a part of your journey.

Get to know the other sides of me.

I once auditioned for Cupcake Wars (and there’s a YouTube video floating around to prove it).

I write queer romance under the pseudonym Aurora Rey.

I have a 1986 Kubota tractor and her name is Roberta.

Why do I do what I do?

Some of the smartest, most creative, most successful people get stuck–in routine, in climbing the professional ladder, in a single path. Being able to help those people see beyond that and embrace and pursue the things that truly light them up is the most satisfying thing I do.

Are you ready to transform your life into one you truly love?
